April 15, 2013 man busy day for a post

So we got our taxes done and e-filed the federal and mailed the state, 45 cents not 19.99 thank you very much.  That was the busiest that I have ever seen the Hooper post office.  Yeah good for them.

I was able to finish Clark's hat while I watched the coverage of the bombing of the Boston Marathon, was able to get ahold of friends in the area and others that run marathons and they were all OK.

His hat is fun.  Red and black for the Ute games. It is a bit big but he should just grow out his hair oh yeah that won't happen.  :)

I love the fact that the hat has a hem on the interior it covers up the extra strings and it also made a really cute edge with the yarn over.  The snowflake chart wasn't that hard to follow.  i did have to adjust my needle size since I used a much larger yarn than called for.  I was able to do the swatch and then figure out the math.

Thank you HATS On.

back to knitting we go

So it has been a super long time since I have posted anything.  Reason One my computer got too old and I still don't want to let her go we had a lot of good years together.  I have gone to using a nook tablet to do all my reading of blogs and fb.  However, I have been unable to type on said tablet so no updating the blog.  Reason Two life kind of took over.
The ski season is over and did we have a good time, a very good time.  My hubby quit his truck driving job and now he is HOME every day.  I have to say I was a little nervous about this change but it is going really well.  He is losing weight and I am gaining which has needed to happen for a long time.  Ever need anything delivered pls par take of your shopping at your local Lowes.
So I am knitting up a storm and once I find and connect my camera to the computer that hubby has rigged up in the den I will show more pics this is what I have so far.

This shows my halloween costume which consisted of knitted sleeves and a corset.  Very interesting to learn short rows and a linen stitch.  I also created a pattern for my sleeves.  Very fun and satisfying overall Bellatrix Lestrange the Heidi version.  I am here dueling Molly Weasley aka Heather N.

Thankful posts 5th

Today I am thankful for my husband being on vacation. He will be in control. In charge of the house, the homework, the laundry, the dog, the toys, the vacuuming, the boys, finding the backpacks, getting ready for school, driving to school, short days with Brayden. I will be in Training at Alta. Thank you honey good luck.

The latest Bradyism. He needed to write what he was thankful for and put it on a feather for the classroom. I asked him what he was going to draw. "My birth." Um how are you going to do that honey? "Me coming out of your tummy" hmm maybe we should do something else. I love you buddy and I am glad you are born too.
